Diatomaceous EarthDEBUG

DEBug (Diatomaceous Earth) is used to kill and control sucking, chewing and crawling insects.

It is a mechanical insect control – upon contact, the fine powder absorbs lipids from the waxy outer layer of the exoskeleton and causes the insect to die from dehydration. Great for slugs, snails, aphids, caterpillars, earwigs, beetles, fruit flies, borers, thrips and much more.

DEBug is also BioGro certified as a Soil & Plant Nutrition (Fertiliser) and Crop Management (Insecticide).

APPLICATION

Diatomaceous Earth for pest control on plants. Sprinkle a fine layer of the powder on the leaves, stems, and soil around the plants. You can use the bottle applicator (400g bottle) to apply on areas by simply squeezing the bottle.

We recommend trying to apply the powder on the underside of the leave, most bugs live and eat away here sheltered by the direct sun. Also if it was to rain, majority of the powder will still remain.

Reapply after rain or watering. This natural substance works by dehydrating and scratching the exoskeletons of insects, preventing infestations without harmful chemicals.

BENEFITS

  • Natural and non-toxic: Diatomaceous Earth is a safe alternative to chemical pesticides, as it is a naturally occurring substance.
  • Effective against pests: It can control a wide range of pests, including ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, fleas, and ticks.
  • Insecticide and desiccant: It kills insects by absorbing the waxy layer on their exoskeleton, causing them to dehydrate and die.
  • Long-lasting effect: Once applied, Diatomaceous Earth remains effective for an extended period, providing a lasting solution for pest control.
  • Easy to use: It can be applied directly onto surfaces or mixed with water for spraying, making it convenient for home use.
  • Versatile: Besides pest control, Diatomaceous Earth is also used in gardening, as a natural soil amendment and to control fungal infections.
  • Pet-friendly: It is safe for pets and can be used to control fleas and ticks on animals.
  • Eco-friendly: Diatomaceous Earth does not harm the environment, as it is derived from fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton.
  • Cost-effective: Compared to chemical pesticides, Diatomaceous Earth is relatively inexpensive, making it a budget-friendly option for pest control.
  • Organic gardening: DE can be used in organic gardening to control pests without resorting to harmful chemicals
